Jeremy Hammon the man behind hacking Stratfor sentenced to 10 years in jail.

Internet activist and hacker Jeremy Hammond pleaded guilty of hacking servers of the private intelligence company Stratfor.  Hammond hacked the servers of the company and leaked the information to anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks and was sentenced to ten years in jail on Friday, November 15.

“I did this because I believe people have the right to know what government and corporations are doing behind closed doors. I did what I believe is right,” he wrote in his statement.
