Google recently announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Nest Labs, the makers of high tech thermostats and smoke detectors, for 3.2 Billion. The deal marks the second biggest purchase by Google. The biggest purchase was when Google acquired Motorola for 12.5 Billion USD. Google now has a strategy to enter the business of Web Connected house hold appliances. There are predictions that Google may now release products like security systems and other urban household products. the search engine giant already entered the urban house hold business by its Chrome Cast and trying to integrate Android OS with household and transporting devices.
