Of Guards And Thieves – Online Stealth/Action Indie game by Subvert Games

After searching, appraising, downloading, testing, and playing many free indie games by various studios all over the cyberspace (all the pains taken for your convenience, so you’re welcome) I came across Of Guards And Thieves…

A Stealth/Action Online Multiplayer game that is good enough to keep you at the edge of your seats for hours. Initially you might have your backside smitten by the seasoned players of the game but it won’t take long (fifteen minutes max, hehe) before you turn the tables and get the hang of it.

“Of Guards and Thieves is a multiplayer stealth game in which high-powered guards face off against fast and elusive thieves in a contest of wits. Outsmarting the enemy and shooting your way through to the goal are equally valid strategies. A game with simple rules, emergent gameplay and high replayability.” – Of Guards And Thieves Homepage

Basically, the game blends the classic light-and-shadow environments of cliched stealth games with the action of fast-paced shooters, a little humorous parody, bird’s eye view, and the flexibility and power of Unity 3D to provide a never-seen-before authentic experience. There are very few games with such bona fide gameplay.
Now let me quickly summarize the pros and cons for you.
Pros
i> The compressed download folder is just 9 MB. (Yeah soo much in soo less!)
ii> You can either play it online as a browser-based game or download it. (I recommend the latter.)
iii>  The game is still in beta so there are frequent updates.
iv> OGAT also has an active community.
v>Two paid versions of the game are also availabe with extra content.
vi> The players can host their own private/public servers.
vii>OGAT supports Steam Overlay so friends can chat through Steam.
viii>It has chat lobbies.
ix> You can create an account so that friends can recognize you and your progress is saved.
x> OGAT also has an option to play as guest with a random name.
Other perks include – simple and intuitive gameplay, no complex set of controls, rare glithes (I haven’t faced any), decent graphics, option to play in windowed mode, customizable controls, wonderfully efficient optimization and balanced gameplay.
Cons
i> The game doesn’t provide much information as to what are the players supposed to do in any particular
    gammode. Slightly confusing UI.
ii> The HUD of the game does not match the ambience of the game. Poor Head Up Display.
iii> The console does not clear frequently enough which can cause undesirable clutter of chat.
iv> A new player may find it hard to figure out what to do in his/her first game.
v> A rare glitch (which I haven’t encountered but has been reported in the forums) causes the game to unexpectedly shutdown.

Another important thing, the rig you need.
