Jeremy Hammon the man behind hacking Stratfor sentenced to 10 years in jail.

Internet activist and hacker Jeremy Hammond pleaded guilty of hacking servers of the private intelligence company Stratfor.  Hammond hacked the servers of the company and leaked the information to anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks and was sentenced to ten years in jail on Friday, November 15. “I did this because I believe people have the right to know what government and corporations are doing behind closed doors. The largest bounty – Microsoft pays hacking expert 100,000$ for detecting company’s security flaw.

After Facebook paying a bounty worth 12,500 USD to Arul Kumar for detecting a bug in the Social Networking giant, Microsoft has taken a step forward by giving 100,000USD to a hacking expert named James Forshaw for detecting a security flaw in the company's software. Reuter is reporting that this is the largest bounty awarded for such a work.
